Chickens For $ale -- Egg-Laying Hens

I have some beautiful young purebred egg-laying hens that are right at point-of-lay, meaning they're just getting ready to start their egg-laying careers. Hens usually begin laying at around 20 weeks of age and lay most frequently their first few years of life, then begin to taper off. This is the best age which to buy hens, you'll be sure to get every egg they have to give.

Young hens can lay an egg almost every day, 3 hens will give you 12-18 eggs a week. Many people in cities and suburbs are keeping their own chickens in order to enjoy their fresh eggs as well as their beauty and friendliness. A simple pen and secure nighttime enclosure is all they need for housing, and feed is easy to obtain in area stores.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Let me know if you'd like to buy some of these lovely chickens to start your own flock or add to your existing one.
